Visiting our home
A visit to our Lodge is an experience to remember.
Not least because of the quality of port you’ll be tasting there, but because it’s a real working lodge where you will you be in close proximity to thousands of oak barrels as well as vats filled with patiently ageing port.
You’re also likely to bump into some of the people who are responsible for making it, like our team of in-house coopers* – one of the last in the port trade.
Follow us on Instagram for events and happenings.
*Our coopers work Monday-Friday.

THE JOHN SMITHES ROOM
The exclusive John Smithes Room is named in honour of one of Cockburn’s most charismatic and influential figures. This private space invites guests to enjoy premium tastings of Cockburn’s finest and rarest Vintage Ports and Aged Tawnies. Sink into an armchair, let an LP spin on the turntable, browse a good book or the latest wine articles, and soak in the charm of vintage portraits and historic instruments – all while tasting some of our most exceptional wines.
THE MAIN TASTING ROOM
The tasting room is a seamless extension of our ageing cellars, divided only by a glass screen framed in warm wood. This proximity creates a unique atmosphere beneath a soaring timber ceiling, criss-crossed with impressive beams and rafters. The perfect setting for the perfect company.
