On its release in 1969, our Special Reserve revolutionised the industry and a single taste will tell you why. Youthful tannins lend it a slight peppery spice but it’s the extra time spent in oak barrels that gives it its balance and signature velvety smoothness.
The finest grapes are hand-picked, pressed, and the resulting wine is then aged in our specially coopered oak vats for five years. That’s long enough to wait. Best drunk immediately.
